A pair of 8-4 teams will meet in Orlando’s Citrus Bowl on December 29th as Florida State will take on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Florida State has won three straight bowl games including the Champs Sports Bowl back in 2008 when the Seminoles defeated Wisconsin 42-13. Notre Dame downed Miami in the Sun Bowl last season. FSU has not played the Fighting Irish since 2003 when Florida State won 37-0 in South Bend. The teams last met in a bowl game following the 1995 season when the Seminoles came from behind to defeat Notre Dame 31-26 in the Orange Bowl. The teams met in the Citrus Bowl for a regular season game back in 1994 with Florida State winning 23-16. December 29th’s game will kick off at 5:30 P.M. EST and will air on ESPN.
