Atlanta – Matt Ryan had another great passing day for the Atlanta Falcons as he torched the Jacksonville Jaguars for 224 yards and three touchdowns in a 41-14 win. The Falcons scored early and often in this one and were up 41-0 on Jacksonville before the Jaguars scored off of a blocked punt in the third quarter.
Atlanta got off to a fast start as Ryan connected with Julio Jones for a 29-yard touchdown strike to start the first quarter. The Jaguars couldn’t stop the bleeding after that as the Falcons would score on a field goal, a 5-yard touchdown run by Michael Turner, a 6-yard touchdown pass to Roddy White, another field goal, a fumble recovery that Corey Peters ran in for a score and the final score coming off a 29-yard touchdown pass to White.
White had ten catches for 135 yards and two touchdowns in the game. The Falcons registered five sacks on the Jaguars with three and a half of those coming from John Abraham. Atlanta now improves to 9-5 and has ten days to prepare for their big matchup versus the New Orleans Saints in New Orleans.
