On Tuesday, Florida State’s Leonard Hamilton was named ACC Coach of the Year for a second time in four years. Hamilton edged out Duke’s Mike Krzyzewski for the honor.
After a 9-6 start and a 20-point-loss to Clemson to open ACC play, the Seminoles finished the regular season 21-9 and 12-4 in the ACC. The 12-4 finish ties Florida State best ACC finish ever. FSU finished 12-4 during the 1992-93 season, but were an early exit in the ACC Tournament. Florida State will be the third seed in the upcoming ACC Tournament and will play either Miami or Georgia Tech late Friday night. The Seminoles will likely be in the NCAA Tournament for a school-record fourth straight year.
